You're right, I probably was a bit naïve thinking that the system would actually join together properly

I think you are being a bit harsh.

My mother and I will have received the same letters and one or maybe both arrived after we had been jabbed and I thought that I was just grateful to be a recipient and not the organiser of this gigantic project in which it is absolutely impossible for the NHS people involved to "win".

But then I think the NHS is wonderful - bearing in mind the people they have to deal with.
