On here. For the most part the best route seems quite obvious between the check points.

If you can see you feet... you're lost!
Or fat.
Our Team, The Anthill Mob has had to drop out. Firstly I was unable to do it then one by one all the other members have had to drop out through injury !!
Good luck to everyone who got in, I think you will need it this year !![]()
We are all sorted now.
A few questions?
1. The Tent?
a) Tent with sewn in ground sheet. Must be complete with poles and pegs and capable of sheltering 4 people.
- so is a lightweight MM tent OK, like a Terra Nova Laserlite? or do they want bigger? What do others carry?
2. b) One Sleeping Bag - is a light down sleeping bag OK? Any specifications?
3. Garmin 305? can we wear them? Not really a navigational aid, but does provide pace and distance?
4. Someone said there's food at SNake pass, how much can you get here? Much or just a snack?
5. Water? How much do people generally carry? 1L or do you take from streams?
6. Do we get any info sent out to us before the start or is it all on the website?
I thinks a terra nova laserlight would be OK - you coud get 4 in an emergency and I think that's the idea, and the sleep in gbag too - I don't think there is a stipulation about weight. They allow the 'foil' blizzard packs too which are actually designed for emergency use. GPS can be carried out but they will be sealed at the kit check, I don't know if you would be able to have it switched on during the run but I suspect not. Tea/ juice/ flapjack type things at Snake and they don't half taste good! I'm not sur eabout liquid - to me 1litre seems quite a lot to carry, but I think it woud be a good bet if it was in a bladder. There should be some more info to come yet I think.
We live & learn....
(each year... a bit?)
Excellent advice Grouse...
Ian...Rrrr.. you will have a great time..
And if lucky it will be during the event...
And if not it will be much enjoyed in later moments!
(just get the lightest, warmest, fastest, bestists kit you can muster, good compass is always the best too..... no battery or water to worry it.. + map)..
if any of the pennine guys want to borrow my laser tent just tell me, i can bring it on thursday , no probs
