Thread: The definitive headtorch post

    Re: What headtorch?

Swoop is yours the blue one or is it the grey one? Think (although could be wrong) it is only the grey one that is the new 2008 model and the blue is the older one?

I'm sure you are right. Mine is grey.

Bought the blue one about 2 months ago and gutted. Sick of having headtorch envy but gonna wait till next winter now to purchase a new one.

I've done 3 Owl events and ran most Wednesday nights since October with a Tikka Plus. I suspect a large brown paper bag over my head would have been just as effective, especially when the batteries are tired

    Re: What headtorch?

Sorry for the blatent plug and if its inappropriate to post such a message, please let me know and I wont do it again....

We have both the the myo xp 08 and myobelt xP 08 versions in stock at www.likeys.com and have done so for the last week. I hadnt realised the current rarity of the item until reading this thread or I would have got them on the site before now. If anyone is after one immediately either give me a call anytime or buy the old version on the site and I will make sure the new one is sent instead. On Monday I will get the new ones up on the site with the myo xp at £47.49 INC free posting and the myobelt xp at £56.99 INC free posting. We always dispatch on day of order if before 3.45pm.

The older versions will be reduced on Monday by £5 whilst the very limited stock remains*.

Again apologises if blatent advertising is inappropriate, but I would only consider doing it if I thought I might be able to offer something of value to the forum and its members.

    * have just checked the stock and now have no 07 myo xp left and only 2 myobelt xp 07 left.

If I was to order one tomorrow when would I have it for?

Can I ring up and order it on sundays?

All orders are always dispatched on day of ordering (if before 3.45pm). In the UK, if you choose free postage it is sent either 2nd class or parcel post and usually arrives in 2 days. If you chose standard post (£2.99) it goes first class and nearly always arrives the next day. If you are absolutely desperate you can pay for guaranteed next day delivery (£6.99).
Royal Mail have done us proud as recognised in some of the testimonials from our customers - http://www.likeys.com/acatalog/test.html

We endeavour to always have everything on our site in stock and available for immediate dispatch and so far in the 15 months we have been trading only twice have we been caught out - but in both case this was rectified as quickly as possible with a free tube of nuun as compensation.

You can ring anytime you like - but on weekends and evenings its pot luck whether there will be an immediate answer as there is a vague possibility I might be out training, but you can always leave a message and I will definately call you back.

    Thanks
    LFW

Did my first ever HTITH run today using my new 2008 Myo XP.
Over Whaley Moor from Dog & Partridge at Bridgemont. Used the diffuser most of the time.
Seemed very good. More than adequate but I was running over ground I knew quite well.

You're just tantalising us aren't you Swoop...? I was waiting for you to say Wow Fantastic Brilliant Excellent!

Are you given to this kind of understatement? (yeh, had an adequate run round the Three Peaks once, just under 2:30....)
