So what sort of time are you aiming for on the OCT then?
So what sort of time are you aiming for on the OCT then?
Are you doing it with Dan 'The Man' Riley?
So who came up with the 'Kinder Dozen' then?
Have you seen the routes on this internet relic:

Yep - it's me and Dan on Saturday, and for the BG (by the way, are you up for it? Do you fancy joining DD on leg 3?)
The 'Kinder Dozen' was instigated by Ken Jones. Does he have Dark Peak connections?
Some interesting looking routes on there - especially the North-South traverse. That could be a good day out.
Inspired by this a couple of us gave it a go today, start/finish at Snake. Slower than hoped but finished in 7:46. Not too hot, but needed lots of water, carried some and picked up much more. A great day out, saw vert few people apart from the usual hot spots around Edale.
Great BG training but not to b e underestimated!
completed this today in that fierce wind with andy b
what a great day out with a great companion , in fact its one of the best days out ive had in the dark peak.
learned a lot today about eating enough and thanks andy for the bar of goodness that you gave me as i bonked just before going up to ringing roger.
great views of the downfall blowing back on itself and finally saw the mermaids pool but sadly no mermaid
what an ankle grinder of a route, certainly pays to know the area but navigation was fine and i even managed to use the compass a fair bit
I agree with the bit about the rough bit down from Kinder Low - twisted my ankle there! The run down from Fairbrook Naze was fast except for the boggy sections, but a lot of the route was very rough - long tussocky grass, hidden rocks, and slow going.
It was a grand day out. Thanks Daz. We visited huge areas of Kinder I'd never seen before, and completed it in about 8 hours, just as the light was fading. Even so, as we were coming down from Ringing Roger, there were two walkers going up!
The whole day out was definitely an education in navigating, eating and drinking enough.
well back to normality
still thinking of yesterday as i tidy up after my son and 3 of his mates had a sleepover last night.
i passed out about midnight and ive just cleared away four giant pizza boxes, frankie and bennys ice cream boxes and so on
andy i will be intrested so see where we went after madwomans stones, did we get that bit correct ??? do you think.
