I know it is going back a bit now, but can anyone tell me how far the Scout Scar race was?

Hey..... Some of us who "don't" HAVE been known to "do" - I'll have you know, thank you so very much indeedy..

However, I have no intention of becoming a "professional organiser" - ahem!

Mark Addison won; after that I've not heard. Results will be up later on in the week. Are you coming to Fairmile next week? That's more your sort of race.

Mark Addison won, from Jon Deegan and Tom Addison.
Another cracking Sunday afternoon out and about. I love this series, for years the emphasis has been for runners to simply enjoy themselves. I, and many others, treat them as winter training runs. The laid-back atmposhere is a refreshing change to the serious stuff that lies ahead later in the season.

It dissapoints me, therefore, that this was posted on the home page of Wharefdale Harriers:

"Not being unkind to Helm Hill, who put on a great races, with a lot of time and effort going towards these races from many helpers on the day, but why do we have to wait days for the results and times? Todmorden Harriers get results on the web within hours of the race finishing. Fell runners put a great deal of effort into their races. The least we can do is to let them them know their times and positions on the day that they have run their races."

The results are usually posted on the Helm Hill Runners website on the Tuesday/Wednesday, 48 hours or so after the event.
A little patience would be nice.

    Re: Kendal Winter League 2008

Thanks morning glory. The Kendal Winter League races are organised by runners for runners. We try to spread the load and get a different organiser for each race (its not easy). So in order to take some of the pressure off, we decided that getting the results written up and published on the Sunday evening should not be a priority. The important thing is that the races are well organised and enjoyable for both runners and organisers. Results will follow.
Proper hill racing at Fairmile next and a forecast for snow!!
