    Pennine Bridleway Relay

Rumour has it that this is a cracking event. My friends tell me that the relay is split into five legs run in pairs around the Mary Towneley Loop section of the Pennine Bridleway (Sunday February 1st 2009) I have done it on the bike and it makes a great day out although I hear that it has been done in 3.5 hrs by bike. Apparently the legs are off differing lengths so there is something for everyone, the 2nd leg is supposed to be a bit of a grueller. Unlike that other popular relay my friends tell me that the logistics of driving around to the 4 changeovers is a lot easier and parking is not usually a problem. The boys from Borrowdale usually make the trip so it must be good. Just had a look on the website and all of the info is there......must see if I can raise a team for this one !
