Well done Dom, always good news to hear of folk coming back, just remember your mind might recover quicker than your body so take it slow and easy. Me I'm aiming to dominate the V80+ field in 40 years time.

4M recovery run this morning. Didn't run yesterday as couldn't get to sleep after long Sunday run, dont know why, 22 miles and 3.5 hours meant I was knackered but then just awake in bed? Go figure.

Anyway freezing fog this morning meant I was AWAKE and the club did an easy hill speed sess tonight as most of us are in Carnethy on Saturday and so didn't want to bust a gut.

    Feeling good now.

A 5.5 mile solo head torch run around the back lanes above Giggleswick last night; a great little road run mostly well away from civilisation with absolutely no cars to trouble me at all, other than when I had to cross the Settle by pass. A really good climb up the lane out of Giggleswick too - one of those where you end up doing four seperate climbs with flat stretches for breathers in between. 44 minutes well spent.

This mornings run was 7.6 mile in glorious sunshine around the trail paths and XC route of Pex Hill. Quite a few runners out and about this morning. Nice to be off for a few days and able to run in the daytime.

    Re: Today's Training

After a day off due to cold, I did 10 miles on the moors as my run back from the garage. Thinking I might have to run back for the car later as my parents have just gone off to the City of manchester stadium tour. But first I have an appointment with the duck pond.

    Re: Today's Training

Got told last night by a physio that I should stop running until I can see a specialist to do a biomechanical breakdown of an injured leg, he's suggested cycling, but I don't have a bike at the moment. I have a cross-trainer though, anyone out there ever use a cross-trainer as part of their training. What are the benefits/disadvantages etc...

Did the anniversary waltz route. Warm sunshine and not even a breath of wind on the tops. I did however get cr*pped on by a raven.
