What's the best footwear to wear on Thursday trail or fell shoes?
i'll be wearing my new montrails hopefully, i'd say trail shoes though. generally in the summer normal trainers is fine but if its still as cold as it's been then a little grip would be good
Good recce of Helsby Hill and the Sandstone Trail tonight over 9 miles. A great route planned by Harrymoon. Nice to me idler from the forum and a few others some from Helsby Running club. Some fairly tough hill running thrown in for good measure. Head torch was great and more than up to the job. Looking forward to doing it again in a couple of weeks. Very enjoyable evenings run with good company.

I agree Pinno, nice to meet Idler! Will hopefully be able to get a few more runs in before the clocks go forward end of March. Thoroughly enjoyed tonight, really good conditions too. The other guys from Helsby were Geoff Shaw and Phil Gillard and Paul Aird (not from Helsby) who has lots of clubs! The route was our summer run so you'll have to try it when you have the scenery too.
Nice one chaps. Great to have a bit of company over the trails - I'd have been too spooked to do it on my own!
Early impressions of the Alpkit Gamma still very good. I've run with it a few times, but was interested to find out if it was dwarfed by other people's lights. It stood up pretty well. £12 well spent. See you again.
