Cheers, I thought that was the case but couldn't remember where I had read or heard it from. bugger.

I'll see what I can do Ian - I'll email them. One problem is we'll want to leave pretty sharpish I think as they'll be knackered and I'll also be dog sitting.

    Is this allowed?

I know there's only a few road crossings anyway, but I'll be in the area so thought I may as well go along?

I have been at Moscar and Snake summit on 2 occassions when not competing.
"Major" food / drink stations at both road points so was there to "encourage" verbally all teams, shouted specifics at the several teams I Knew personnally but was equally encouraging to all.
Other times, when actually competing, have been "encouraged" at the downfall by friends and strangers alike.

I would guess a lot of teams have contact somewhere on the route with aquaintances.

If I am not called on to slot into a last minute injury place , I will be at Moscar and Snake again this year. (Sad b*****d, can't keep away )

    Iain,
...and even if you help the marshals at the road crossings, make sure you do not feel tempted to offer other assistance, such as taking spare gear off a team if they think they no longer need it. We are supposed to be completely self-sufficient.

Reccied the route over two days last week. Its alot dryer than last year. Still managed to cock up on Bleaklow in daylight and clear conditions.

It has gone very quite on here. Is it nerves or is everyone out reccying?

Our team did part of the hard section last Saturday from Margery Hill to Bleaklow Head – with a strong head wind most of the way. It seemed much drier than last year – could make for some quick times…
