All these races are different. Each one has it's own atmosphere and charm.

The three peaks does have a special feel about it though, as though it's more of an event than a race. Whether it's down to tradition, the course, the size of the event, the time of year or some combination of these.

It's certainly not down to the the fact that it's down in the book as a category A race, erroneously or otherwise. So, why worry about it?
Well said Swiss - there is alot of county pride at stake sometimes though, whether that's Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Lancashire or Cumbria (or even counties in Wales and Scotland with funny names ) and, like fell shoes, mine are always better than yours
