It's all good in hindsight Marvin.
Anything can happen on the night. I'm just glad I got around.

Being a fully signed up member of the hopelessly daft & bonkers brigade...
And done rather to many Watersheds.... some in real extremis..
I found it pretty tough FriNite/SatMorn...
Had thought it might be "drier" than "normal" from Cut Gate ownward..
Only to find it was shockingly wet & monstrously boggy ..
Truly a night to be forgotten... rather than savoured…..
Still, if I can get fit for next year I guess I'll be back..
    For more of the same....
Which included some truly wonderful marshalling....
Many thanks to Filthy Rich & Co'
    It's a brilliant event!!!!

Superb run by the Lads & Lassies at the sharp end..
Amazing times considering how wet, windy & boggy its was..

(Sadly I slowed the RC Kids somewhat, who were kindness personified!)

    Re: High Peak Marathon

just to add to what has already been posted the prelimanary (sp!) results from memory -which is not that great at the best of times were:

half man half totley were 3rd in 10:21

    Macc Harriers -4th

    Team North face?? - 5th

Mahogany ridge (Dark Peak) - 6th 10:48 - can remember that as I was in this team

Dark Peak Ladies knocked about 2 hours off the ladies course record - bloody imressive. they were round in 11 hours and something

Totley ladies got round in 14+ hours (and are rightly very impressed by the DPFR ladies result!)

It was my first time doing this race and I loved it. I said at the finish that I wan to do it again next year - and I still do this morning!
