Well, I'm in![]()
further to an earlier post, I actually do live in Cheshire, so my closest decent hills are around the Lyme Park area, so I think I'll be seeing a lot of West Parkgate-Dale Top as my main hill rep over the next few months...![]()

over 400m ascent on 3 separate hills on my Lyme Park run today
roughly similar gradient to Snowdon (although in MUCH smaller sections!)
starting to think I might crack 2 hours![]()
Was that you daz about 5.40 just running up near the deer enclosure?.... just as we were getting another snow flurry. I'd been visiting friends nearby and was driving around lyme park on my first visit there.
pjfe - not me - I was finished by about 4:15pm, and had been more over on the Sponds Hill/Sweet Hill/Bowstones side
did get a few snow flurries myself though, but in between the views (esp from Dale Top) were STAGGERING!![]()
cheeers daz, the friends we were visting were the other side of the a6 up the hill, with great views of lyme park and we could see deer through the binocs. Just had a quick visit in the car and drove past the hall/house and up left. To see the sky change and the snow come down all in a matter of minutes was great. Will enjoy visiting again in the summer maybe for a stroll round with the family. Nice place to run then I take it?
is the race full yet? i fancy giving it a go
Thanks CL,looking to do a few runs of the route before the race to workout footwear.Key is to strap yourself in tight to stop feet moving i think.I'm either wearing inov8 320 or some walsh raids with cushioning inserts.I normally wear inov8 290 but find they are quite flat and clompy (great word) on long hard descents.Rodders don't forget to tape your feet, it can wear the skin off your heels.
