I see that the weather prognosis for Friday and Saturday is not the best, rain is forecast. Still, early days, as it's some time off yet but reading the threads suggests that it will be heavy going underfoot as the ground is saturated.

Got to admit I'm getting very excited now about PPP after entering during the online 'feeding frenzy', then not giving it much thought until very recently. I've got a feeling I'm going to enjoy it (and anyone who sees me dragging my sorry cramp-ridden body up Ingleborough on Saturday lunchtime can remind me I said that too!). Roll on Saturday!!

Howdy...First time doing the 3 Peaks but wondered based on previous kit checks how strict they are...will a windproof suffice or does it need to be waterproof ?

In my experience its been very relaxed in other events....just looked at the 3 Peaks gallery...how do they get it all in those tiny bumbags !!!:-)

Take both and see what happens, unless it is a clear sunny day I'll be carrying my Kamalika, it's too far to go with out a waterproof.

The Bumbags aren't tiny it's the runners who are huge
