Weather for tommorow is looking good if not a bit breezy but from the south which means that long drag to ribblehead will be wind behind. Guess whos going to go to fast . I'm expecting to be on for sub 3:30 at ribblehead then die a slow painful death and hopefully get under 3:50. 3:56 last year. Just hope my wave harriers hold out I've had to glue the sole back on this week

Van parked in my street this week with over 900 goody bags inside, won't let me have a look, but they are fill with allsorts. Just like to say thanks to the organizers and marshalls I know they have been working like mad this week, they have taken time off work and put a lot inti this event, Cheers everyone.

I'd prefer jelly babies to allsorts

I hope it all goes well after all this hard work. Cheers

The nerves have now kicked in, the knees and ankles are twinging and I feel as if I'm going down with a cold. It means I'm ready to run

Will be in the 4:30 pen too, although I'm hoping to do a sub 4:30 if all goes well.

    Good luck to everyone

Me too - I'm also feeling a bit of a bloater having temprarily ditched my diet, since Wednesday, for a full on cake eating one and cut back on my mid week running!

I've come up with a completely new training plan this year after my knee op. I am now a 'binge runner'. Same as a binge drinker really. Do feck all most of the week and then go and do 20 milers and wonder why everything hurts and cant do anything for another week.

Lets see how this plan works tomorrow. I'll be the one at the back puffing and panting. Bit like the clip from Jumanji where the animals stampede through the town only for the fat slow rhino to lollop through at the end !!

Stomache has been grumbling all morning and I've had chest pains I don't know why, I've done the race three times and run lots of races that are longer and harder. I guess the the prefix 'Worlds' is making all the difference.

I've packed up all my kit and the food for the drops, nothing to do now except stew....

I've decided to start on the 4:15 to 4:30 and take it as it comes to Whernside.

Best of luck folks, this is my favourite race.

It will be great to see it from the other side of the fell shoes

Hey Jamie, will be good to see you somewhere along the route, look out for the gandi look-alikey.

Glad it's not just me getting nervous and bloated!! Tucking into a huge piece of choc flap-jack at the mo. I'm told race is featured on BBC Look North this eve at 6.30pm
