Saunders Lakeland Mountain Marathon www.slmm.org.uk
2 day mountain marathon held 1st weekend in July somewhere in the Lakes,
similar to LAMM and KIMM/?OMM, but IN MY OPINION much more friendly with beer on sale at the overnight camp and its in the prettiest part of GB
Teams of two, carry all they need to camp and feed themselves for two days while navigating their way around a route which is only disclosed after you start the race.
Ooh, much more exciting and scenic (weather permitting!) than trotting round North York Moors!!!

first I'm trying to find out if Peaker's Stroll is accepting runners this year, as that is on the same weekend as OP and is a lot more local for me
also that weekend, there is the awesomely named Fairy Freckled Cow trail race in Denbighshire, which I feel duty-bound to attend one year purely on the basis of the name
