I'l probably decide depending who I'm trailing, how I'm feeling etc.
I was thinking it will take me about 2 hours, anyone else as slow as that, or is that being optimistic for a novice mountain runner?

Particularly when you run over the top of one of those quarries in the mist .

    Re: Coniston

I'll be at the back so I'll just follow everyone else and if I see anyone fall down a 10 foot drop, I'll know to change course

Mudlugger, I would expect to do this in 1:45 - 2 hours, so I'll be somewhere near you.

The weather forecast for tomorrow is for some rain and for it to be pretty windy on the tops. Anyone know if the organisers are concerned about the wind point ? I ask as driving up from London ! Cheers.

Would be gobsmacked if it was cancelled just 'coz it's a bit breezy, it's a fell race after all!

..........but at that time it's probably dark so don't try a direct route off the top until tomorrow.
