Either of the Addisons nearby? Tom and Mark were planning on running.

Mark Addison was there, disappearing into the distance with the leaders on the first climb. I think he finished around 15th?? It's all in the descent though, as I found to my cost.

Interesting to see Ted Mason up there again. He must have had a good few week's training recently.

I think he gets his training in April by running round his fields during lambing and he has a lot of fields to run round most with big hills in.

Sorry to hear of your debacle GF. Anne & I saw you being carted off by the Mountain Rescue boys but didn't know it was you at the time. Best of luck with your recovery.

Enjoyed my annual run around the Coniston Fells - my 19th completion in the last 22 yrs - even managed to more or less equal my time of the first run, so quite happy with that.
A good turnout this year and weather was superb notwithstanding the c**p forecast.
Well done to Sam for keeping this classic race alive - I'll be back next year (and probably a few years after that)

Bad luck. Happened to me three years ago at the Fairfield. Was about 6 months before I was (tentatively) racing again. Its fine now though, just a slightly odd shape. Crutching around gave me piles though.

Sorry to hear about your mishap goose fat. Hope you're on the mend soon.

Has anyone got a link to the results? The Coniston web site hasn't been updated yet.
