Bloody Hell,
thats a great turnaround - but the three peaks eek![]()
Oh don't get me wrong, I still firmly reside in the Injuries section. Technically I should still have the aircast on and it was initially said I would but it really is not needed anymore. Was told 2 weeks ago that it would be at least a month before I was running and that has been cut in half! It is stronger but by no means strong. I will have to run with it strapped in tape and full flexibility is not back yet but it has been a suprising recovery from even last week.
Been putting a lot of time into the ankle though and spent every second I could working on either strength or flexibility. To the extent of cooking all of the dinner last night on one leg and watching the apprentice on a wobble board. I also have a thera band strapped to my desk at work.
I am hopeful for the 3 peaks that is probably the best way to put it. But it is looking a lot more likely than a couple of weeks ago
Well done Tony,
All the strengthening and hard work is paying off for you.
I am currently sat at my desk with a ball between my legs squeezing as the physio suggested. Need to streghten my quads to help my knee track a bit better.
Ran a flat 5k race last night, still been told to stay off the hills for a while.
Missing the fells like mad though
Great that your improving so quickly
Had to go out today to shake some of the PPP stiffness out so off I went at 7.30am in the rain![]()
Ended up with twin fractures of Tib and Fib (both legs) Open fracture to the hand and spinal injuries. Had to lay there for a couple of hours waiting for the MR to find me. Fortuanately the proffesionalism of the team medics soon sorted me out. It was good to see how well the team work under pressure from the wrong side. I was soon stableised and wisked away on a virtual yellow budgie
Luckily for me it was just an exerciseand I was soon on my feet. However it could happen and I'm glad the Guys and Gals of MR are out there.
Going the bath now to try and get rid of all the fake blood.![]()
Back on here again- minor calf pull last night - still managed to continue run and not horrendously tight today so 3-4 days 'RICE' should do it - he says!!
Feel a stifness in the achilles area following on from Coiners - hope the recovery can be measured in days / weeks rather than months - unlike last year.
Hi Manhar, how was Coiners? Sorry to hear your achilles is giving you grief. I can sympathise with you as mine has been sore for about a month. It doesn't bother me much when walking or running, it's just when I've been sat for a while and especially when I get out of bed on a morning. Did you have the same problem last year then?
