Have now completed it but can't find a stamp Beer is dear in the the lakes so i'm gonna save my pound for that

So... My map says 20miles and 18miles of terrain. Whats the actual milage and if it is 20 miless, wheres the extra 2 miles on my map route?

That's confused me as well Anyone any advice? Mind you, after 18 miles, i'm not averse to running/Crawling another 2, march or die

I think the actual measured miles of a fell race mean pretty much nothing and, until you've actually run the race itself, the whole thing is an unknown quantity. The terrain (and the weather) is everything and with Duddon I imagine the terrain will be a bastard

Indeed! Great views of Dow Crag on Saturday as we headed out and back the Coniston Old Man.

And a quick glance across to Little Stand as we headed down to the Three Shires Stone. Off to recce that bit later this week.
