    Lots of young rabbits whilst out this afternoon, no sign of the parents (perhaps they're watching TV?). Also my 2nd sighting of the year of a green woodpecker, makes it all worthwhile.

    hmmm alot of pondlife this morning near wigan train station at 6:15 as the nightclub threw em out. 24 hr drinking great idea

    a pair of hen harriers yesterday a periguin falcon sqarking above our heads today.. and the dog yapping it's flippin ed of in the yard!!

    I'd be impressed but.... what's a Curlew????

    I'll take my camera out tomorrow to get some pics of the wildlife on my local patch.

    The word 'curl' means something that 'curls' - like a snake.

    And a 'Ewe' is a sheep.

    So a 'CURLEW' is a Welsh term for a curly fleeced sheep .

    Nearly stood on an adder on Jura yesterday and had a close encounter with a hen harrier !

    This is interesting, seen lots of young rabbits recently, no older ones, workmate has been down Skegness and witnessed the same thing, have the senior rabbits gone digital
