saturday's injury........don't stare at the squirrel that's unusually bold and close to the path....the path is never flat.....twisted ankle, kiddie grazes on hands and other knee. Cracking purple bruise on outside of ankle
WHY does it always happen just as I begin to get more confident and relaxed.

Just had an x ray. Stress fracture in my right foot. Very depressed. Haven't been for a run for 5 days and it's not feeling good for the next few weeks, very sore

Sorry to hear your news Mountain Goatess it sounds painful. Try and stay positive I am now in my 3rd week of almost no running I have enetered a couple pf races and had to pull out including the Garburn race this weekend.

I think we all get a bit down when we get injured and then it seems to take an eternity to get right. Keep your chin up and take it easy.

Thanks guys, yeah I am feeling very down, at the moment it's painful to walk and I don't think I could cycle either. But I'm trying to keep hopeful that I will be okay for the Wharfedale marathon I'm just gutted I can't get out and continue the good training I was doing!
Anyway Pinno...your turn to chase past me on the league table eh?!!!

Don't think I will surpass you this month MG on the Fetchie table. Going to wait till Monday before I start running again. I am feeling a lot better today my problem is I am just to impatient to wait for an injury to clear up.

We could have our own fetchie bike table?... been on mine a few times last week.

Cycling in the gym is not bad thing to do once the pain in your ankle starts easing. The bike is a good way to build up before you start running again. When is the wharfdale Mara?

    Re: Todays Injuries

It's not actually my ankle, it's the 2nd metatarsal in my forefoot. Also my gym has just unexpectedly closed down so need to find a new one! Might get my bike out in a few days see how it feels. The W'dale is 7th June... high hopes I know, but like you I'll not rest! I will still do it if I can.
