    Wasdale July 12th 2008

I am seriously thinking of entering this, any advice on the race and were to camp, is there a map of the route to buy or is it an ordanance survey job? Do you get to meet Joss Naylor

I assume this starts from wasdale head, there is a NT campsite and also one attached to the pub, although I haven't stayed at either of them. I have stayed in Nether Wasdale though at Church Stile campsite and this is pretty good I can vouch for the facilities being pretty good.

    Any'ow...it's one well'ard route fo'well'ard chaps 'n chapesses.

Gee thanks Wharfeeman...there was I trying to keep mi'plans quiet in case I bottle it an'chicken out of entering...

I reckon I'll decide after Blencathra tomorrow (...and before anyone says 'owt, yes, I know its not comparable...I just want to see if my legs still work after both Coniston gullies and a beasting on road bikes from Grifter last night ) and then a recce of Seatallan to Sty head the day (21st June) before Helm Hill Bofra.

Hey Merry, Amex, we can all time out together at Gable...

But Wharfeeman...Will all your MTB wounds have healed by then...? Don't forget yer not as young as you used to be... Sithee tomorra...!

If we time out, we're going to carry on and finish what we started

Quite right old bean, quite right. I like the spirit old chap!

But then of course we'll be in no danger of getting anywhere near the cutoffs (hmmm...maybe I should re-phrase that...)

Mind, if Amex looks anything like his avatar I ain't carrying 'im!!!
