Actually if it's not on Xmas day Mountain Goatess will play and leave the hubby at home! Hee Heei have asked people to PM me with what they think is best then will go from there, i was thinking about the 23 of the 12 stay over then home on xmas eve but i am pretty easy! even the Sunday before the 21 would be grand.

23rd good for me as it fits into my days off although I would be driving home the same day as back into work 6am Xmas eve. Will keep my eye on this thread and see what happens..............
I hope to be up again, had a great time last year. Seeing those 'kitted out for the Arctic' walkers' faces on Hevellyn as we all appeared out the cloud was a picture. The meal at Lakeland Spice and the ale at, um, lots of places, went down well too. I might even make it to the Loft again!
I'm easy over dates, would be nice to make it as close to Christmas as possible, if people can get the time off work.
As for where to run, how about something like the AW route, or a horseshoe including Grizedale Pike? I don't know the lakes well enough for whether that's likely to be possible in December, although it was very cold last year we did well in having a route that was mostly grassy so ice wasn't a problem.
