    2nd cut off is 3hr:30 - distance a smidgen under 16m and 3800ft.

Its alright for you fast runners out there - you dont have to think about cut off points - sorry if I'm wasting your web space with my worries but i have to be realistic and I thought that maybe just maybe - there might be someone in the same boat as me - if there isnt - i'm definatly not entering - I hate long runs by myself -

daleside, im slow, you wont be on your own, i just made cut offs last year, im having a go again this year, so if you decide to do it i may not be far behind you

    Cool Re: three peaks

    Daleside
Last year I "got round" despite struggling with achilles problems at the time. My view is that provided someone has done the mileage the cut off's are achievable regardless of how fast they are running. For example in my case I got to the top of Pen - y -ghent in 43 mins without pushing myself too hard and reached the Ribblehead checkpoint / cut off with 15 mins to spare - progressing at this same steady pace I got to the Hill inn again with just under 15 mins to spare. I then walked most of the way up Ingleborough.

I wouldn't say I was a fast runner and I daresay there will be people at your pace to keep you company and while away the pain (only kidding - about that last bit - you'll enjoy every minute of it).

    Go for it kid.

Did the first section in absolutely fantastic conditions today and with a great gang and unfortunatly came just within the 2:10 cut off so have filled the form in to enter. This means I will not be available to hand out sweets on the day. Sorry folks!

    I must be mad!
