Thread: Today's Training

    Re: Today's Training

Warm up, Sale Sizzler, warm down. Slow time, 14,48, but won enough to get a curry on the way home. Thinking of changing my curry shop as they always manage to muck up the order. They sent lamb madras instead of a large madras curry sauce last time and then last night sent a broken popodom in a bag instead of the ones we ordered. They knew they had mucked up and came up with some more, but thats not the point. Away from today so will be trying different curry houses in prestatyn area of Wales.

2 miles this week due to being ill. (Trust me it is the kind of 'ill' where you can't risk jiggling your insides about too much those 2 miles took a LONG time!)

    P*$$ed off

    Re: Today's Training

This week I have been able to run again without pain!!
    Mon- 6.2 mile
    Tues- 6.5 mile
Weds- 10 mile hill WALK... Carlton Bank to Clay Bank to Chop Gate and back.
    Thurs- Walking in Wharfedale
Fri- 6.2 mile then 20 mins of 1 min interval on 10-15% incline.

Now let the mileage increase commence!
(but not til after the weekend... too much socialising and wine drinking to do!)

Steady 5.5 on forest trails yesterday. Feeling heavy legged.

Today went for a hill walk, 8 miles around the Cobbler.
In the afternoon I was just going out for an easy 4 but after a mile I felt so good I finished it with a 3mile tempo run and felt really strong.

Go figure, big hill walks followed by a chip butty and a lager shandy (it was hot!) are a good warm up?!

Was certainly hot out -did 5.5 miles from home -usual 'undulating' mix of terrain - trying to keep the towpath to a minimum but its useful in linking up other hillier paths/road sections.

I'm sure others are training too and not just racing!!

    anyway here goes...

Just over an hour on Chevin and Danefield - about 6 miles/800 foot ascent, very hot but managed to run all but the final few steps of 'the big hill' - not to be confused with 'the steps'!!
