How did you and your mate (fell foal?) get on then, Amex. Bit hot wasn't it.
Ian two things about me.
One i am not a good runner
Two i am even worse in heat.
oh dear
Bad day out 3 weeks of not running working every hour god sent, jet lag, too many fags, felt shit from start i asked and asked and asked my body to get going, it responded with do one dick head!!
at checkpoint 6 i decided to call it a day i did this for fear of the marshals being late home for breakfast!
Tough race
hot day
but hey what a good route i know pendle very well but i ended up in places i have never been.
well done to you.
my mate was a pony for a day and loved it, he could not get his head round the no rules thing and is now in the process of making his own vest!
he could be a fantastic runner complete athlete not joking he would be up near the front every time, he just cant be arsed that's why i love him so much
Hard luck Steve, at least you were there to stand up and be counted. It's an oven on that north side of Pendle, and a real slog when you're knackered which ever way you go to 6. I was seriously thinking of jacking in at that point and I guess I would have been an hour ahead. No point in just slogging it out, being miserable and keeping the marshals out. Heat stroke was a real possibility yesterday. Next year I'm doing a rain dance
2 more ponies out yesterday.....although one was wearing a very strange coloured numnah indeed
Nice to meet you Tussockface.......gee it was a hot one wasn't it? Thought I was pass out!
Well done Steve, braver man than me I opted for the shorter and by far less severe Round Hill yesterday instead of Pendle....fair play to you....![]()
