3 hour loop up the Kymin, over to murder layby, through the forest down to the wye, over biblins bridge, up the doward, down to whitchurch, the long pull up to llangrove and then down old shop via welsh newton. And it absolutely pi$$ed it down. Got home looking like a drowned rat!
Probably the worst summer weather I have been out in. Floods up to the hubs, lashing rain & hail, strong gusts and a snapped chain and pucture thrown in for good measure. 77 fast hilly miles up to Ribblehead and Ingleton & back over Bowland Knotts - glad to be back home.
Almost as bad a China then!

I also got soaked today on my 20 mile run but somehow it was enormously enjoyable. A sodden singlet enabled me to wipe the stickiness off my fingers (from my spilt drink).
My old cycling mates are convinced I'll return to two wheels one day when my joints are Donald Ducked but I'm hoping to prove them wrong.
Sleepless in the saddle 24hr race on saturday. Awfull conditions. I really need some sleep!
40miles for me just at 18mph, not my usual hilly route , a bit more flat
loads of bloody roadworks have sprang up around here
20 miles yesterday, (quick spin before going to get told off by the fizzio!) only got 'nearly' run over 3 times so a decrease which is nice
Turbo today
2 and a bit hilly hours up the valley and over Llanwonno forest to Ferndale then back via Porth, Tylorstown and Ponty!!! Names to really conjure with! Stunning scenery when I was able to look hanging onto Aggers Minor's coat tails. Some interesting points; don't stop at the traffic lights in Ferndale if you want to keep your wheels, even the pound shop has closed there!
And, special gold star for anyone who can tell me the fell running connection of Llanwonno (Wheeze excluded).
