I dont usually like to do a race i havent previously recce'd, and I'm not going to win the world navigating champ's anytime soon. But after Lowther run a lad was telling me all about how good this race is and how I should give it a go. I certainly fancy it as I'm currently alternating weekends with a road run/fell outing. (not looking forward to tarmac 20miler tomorrow morn).

    Any advice much appreciated.

I hope that you are wearing your ponies vests with pride though!

Those that were at the Darwen Gala today still need breaking in it seems

    Not one vest in sight!

So what's this - more than one kit?

    Home and away strips?

I thought you only had the little pink numbers!

Well - back home and that was Hell!!

Slower than last year, and last year was pants.

Nevermind though - I got round - had a good crack. But my Swoops were struggling - picking up mud on the rabbit paths and then not having any grip on the wet grassy descents - I was falling all over the place!

Whoever the marshalls were on the Calf and Winder you deserve medals - it was grim up there, but thanks to all.

    Roll on Lanzarote on Thursday.
