    Re: Todays Bike Ride

As expected I got absolutely drenched going out this morning, many of the back roads out past Longridge were flooded, one just past Claughton had a river running down it in full flow from verge to verge and we still had to cycle upstream! Not as bad coming back but stuck to the A roads. Another good clean down and lube of the stead just now after a soggy 55 miles or so.

Hilly sub 40 ish. Yup, past that pub again. Sally's discount store in Ferndale is now closed(next to the closed pound shop). This was a socially aware bike ride.

Been out on the 35k course (nant yr aran) on the MTB, beat my PB by quite a bit and dipped under the 21/2 hr for first time ever . Been quicker the course was dry, had to take it very staedy on the downhills. Happy but knackered Moley .

Well done Moley, getting fit for the next thing....

Today, well actually yesterday, well really Sunday, so it shouldn't be in this thread really.....but anyway....sort of a Bwlch Bike Bash: Start at Blackmill, up the Bwlch, down to Treorchy, up the Rhigos, then back the way we came with a little snifter over to look at Abergwynfi, then hooligan descent and try and trip the speed camera!! Only 38miles, but loads and loads of climbing. Wheeze, me and big bad bro nailing the tarmac Brill

I am very worried. I submitted my fat arse to 3 hours of torture by saddle and took on over 1200m of climbing by bike for the first time ever. Why am I worried??....I really enjoyed it! I can sense the pull of a full time addiction!
