I think the main directional problem probably arose from the fact that there were a couple of Toddies in the lead group;the others would assume that the Toddies new the route. The tape at the turn was very low down in the heather, but fairly easily seen if you weren't "eyeballs out"

I'd say that if the first 8 runners went wrong then it wasn't an obvious turn!

Just re-read my post. I didn't mean obvious to us, I meant obvious place where runners could come a cropper with directions!

Point taken! It wasn't an obvious well trod path.

Yeah he said he was defending his "Alice's Run"10k title at Mytholmroyd today- hope he did well, though as he said as we were walking along road after the race the additional 'x' mins of heather, bog and tussock wasn't part of the warm up plan

Titch- there was definitely a photographer present in both the early stages of the race (10 mins in?) and the finish (Parky?) - if so I'm sure he will post on here when both photos and results are on the Tod Harriers website.

The results are now online (I only got them sent to me a few hours ago).

I took plenty of photos and they will be on the website soon - I've been away all day and am busy on Monday so I'll try my best.

Thanks Keith. Glad I managed a top 30 finish after a good battle with the first lady.
