How picky are they on kit - do they check for taped seams - will pertex do? Would a helly hansesn constitiute a 'spare sweater'? How much food/liquid do you carry? Come on Marko, spill the beans, you talked me into this.

Not terribly picky - no - just about (but it looks likely to rain!). Yes. There is always plenty of food/drink at checkpoints except for the first one (drinks only) and Edale Cross (middle of nowhere). So if you can get by on water/squash/tea/sandwiches/fruit/biscuits/rice pud/etc, you won't need to carry anything.

I gave up marking up the route based on the route description. I think I'll wing it, but if the weather is bad I'll may take some tarmac detours
Good. I'm glad it's not just me winging it. If I thought I could keep up with him, I'd follow Marko.
Well, Marko that wasn't such a dismal performance! Well done! Really enjoyed this, despite losing lots of time through one bad route choice - recces definitely in order for next year. Well organised with different types of foods at each CP. Thanks to the organisers!

Does that mean that MarkO won? I'm struggling a bit with the results.
If so - well done Mark!
