Summit down to road 1.01.19mins 3.31 miles
Road to finish 9.37mins 1.14 miles

    Ascent 1.44.33
Descent 1.10.56 (kick up ar$e required)
    Marvin's stats:

    Start path 0:07:17 (split 7:17)
    Red Burn 0:42:35 (35:18)
    Summit 1:21:27 (38:52)

    Finish 2:06:31 (8:52)

Total time for descent 45:04 therefore descent = 55% of climb time

On Snowdon my descent time was 52% of the climb.

Just couldn't go any faster. My time to the summit was 4 minutes down on last year, and I dropped time on the road compared with last year, but the first half of the descent was OK. Eventually finished 4 and a half minutes down on last year's time.

Great race. Legs went a bit coming down, not sure if that was last week showing or just the Ben fullstop. Had a few jelly leg moments, especially on that small rise just as you hit the road. Felt good for most of it though. Finished not that tired though, certainly no where near as I did after Snowdon when I felt I'd had every possible second off the course, but here I felt I paced it well. Hard descent to get going on as it's so steep, whereas on Snowdon you can just let yourself go as soon as you turn. Wife ran well. Had a great weekend, good night followed by a munro this morning before driving home.

A good run by fleeter , he pushed me all the way to the summit.
All the pennine lads had a good day as well.
    Purpleplodder was well up.

I had a tumble on the way down, did a somersault , gashed my knee and banged my head. Was lucky to finish and thanks to the red cross tent for patching me up.

    Hi all,

I didn't do the race, I've not built up to something like this yet. I took my mate up (ChrisG). Was feeling a little lazy so didn't head up the path and just lay around in the field eating chips and burgers waiting for him to come back.

Anyway, I took photos of the runners as they came back on to the field. ChrisG finished 222 and I stopped taking photos so if you came in before him then there might be a snap of you. If anybody wants a higher quality image then just message me.

Nae luck Johnston -I've been out half the year with injuries myself and know how frustrating it is watching everyone enjoying themselves in the hills.
My random otherness managed to creep into a couple of your piccies (nice viewpoint btw) just summitward of Ur man Chris and shortly before I overtook him on the way down The beggar made me work for it on the run in around the playing field though

Daz - I saw you wandering around the finish. I had one of those "there but for the grace of God..." moments when I saw you.
