Had a dreadful run today. Not surprising really as i completed 6hr+on the fells yesterday supporting a BG.
Great weekend overall though, superb weather today for it.
How did anyone else get on?

Sadly, I missed my target of just under 4 hours, the cramp monsters saw to that! I rolled home at around 4 hours and 16 minutes. Shame too, as I'd ran the first lap well, finding the reverse route a little easier.
From the start of the first hill climb on the second lap those cramp monsters started to bite and I then had fight it for most of the way around.
I'm not disappointed, for me it had been, fever on Wednesday, fever and Indian Mustard on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and then Marathon on Sunday!
Not enough isotonic drink obviously.
Big thank you to all the Marshalls though, much appreciated.
How nice was that water on the second lap on the climb to High Close?
Spot on I say!
Ah well, always next year for a Great Langdale sub 4 hours

Had a lovely potter around the two loops.
NICE!
Conditions couldn't have been better either.
Inov8 F Lite 230's make pretty decent road marathon shoes, too
I run ...climb ....work a bit.....
but mostly......
buy kit
At least it didn't chuck it down this year!
And the fried breakfast was wonderfull. I do like it when there is no entry on the day, gives me time to enjoy it!

Half was fun.
Felt like sh*t from the off, but picked up around Skelwith Bridge. Didn't like the "flat" final 2.5 miles to the finish. Paul Muller is some sort of running machine, a V50 as well! And as for the marathon winner, we were neck and neck on lap 1, and I was only going half the distance - unbelievable!
I can see myself sneakily giving the full a go next year....
Why walk when you can run.

enjoyed the report Sinatra, you did really well considering the cramp so congrats for continuing, not sure my legs have much more than 2 hours in them.
Good report there Sinatra, I doubt very much my legs would hold up for one lap let alone 2! It was nice to see one of the top 30 finishers for the half stopped before going into the field to finish (adding 30 seconds to his finishing time) to applaud the marathon runner who was starting on his second lap and had stayed with him all the way round.
