Anybody seen the Madeira island ultra trail on the long distance thread , it looks really good. We were there walking in 2002 always wanted to go back, so it looks like Sept2009 for me and Mrs Ak (when I tell (ask) her).
Any other ponies fancy a crack at it?

Mrs C and I fancied Madiera, those levadas look interesting only problem with 2009 is it's her 20th again and we sort of promised ourselves New Zealand and Borneo, close call, what do you reckon??

Levadas are interesting ask Mrs AK she followed me around one with at least 150ft sheer drop and no hand rails, she made me buy a guide book after that!!!!
