    How about starting in Fort William, up the Ben (any trans Britain has to include it?), across Mamores to Kinlochleven then to Clachaig as a the 1st day?

    Maps are upstairs in kids room - I'll look at them tomorrow and see how possible/stupid that idea is.

    Thought about that a bit more now Ady,

    Nobody's gonna want to drive the first day, whatever the route.

    I think circular routes miss the point - surely a Trans Britain needs to go from A-B, not sure a series of circular routes would do that.

    Still be a great idea though!

    I think point to point would be more exciting cause evrything is new but loops would be fairer on drivers (i know i wont want to sit out).
