I really enjoyed todays race apart from having to stop THREE times to tie my bl00dy laces.
I fell for my first time in a race today too, after catching my foot about 3 times (not lifting it high enough) and getting really frustrated with myself, I landed funny and my leg bent at a funny angle, but luckily it was just a tumble and I was right back up. It happened just after you get to the top the first time and it was only when I stopped at the finish it started hurting.
I came home in 310th position but Ian Holmes knew I was closing on him. I'll get you next time Ian
Excellent race and a super turnout, well done EVERYONE! Pencilled in for next year.
Well done to the kids too. I thought they were all great. My lad (in the U8's) lost his shoe just before the finish and hopped over the finish line to complete his first fell race.
