Well Darth, look what a bit of stifness in the ankle has got you into.

Lola sounds so much fun you should take DT's advice and splash the cash.

Had dinner at the Sharrow Bay a few years ago, someone else's 50th birthday and they were paying.

Naughty but (very, very) nice so should suit Lola.

    Get saving DD.

Looks like we're in accord here

btw Darth I suspect this lady is more interested in titanium hardwear and high-end softwear than the origins of a pudding! Just a hint, mate

Lola, don't forget DD is a relative newcomer to our world and, as you can see, he has trouble with his downhills.

You'll need to treat him gently (with the exception of his wallet which clearly will take a pounding akin to that experienced when undertaking a well known 42 Peak round)

    Roll on Sharrow Bay.

    BGSec,

I am in some trepidation replying to one of your venerated status, no jest.
But, lets face it, DD may be new to us but he has to pay his dues - the wallet pounding is just the entry fee. I do believe in giving the condemed man a hearty meal, I know that should read breakfast but so many don't make it that far!
As for being gentle, does my Avatar give no hints of what the night might hold?

    Re: left heel

Venerated indeed! Not possible at the age of 44. Just treat me like you treat the rest of the boys Lola, I'm not proud.

Yes, DD has to pay his dues (and the bill at Sharrow Bay) and as a late starter he has some catching up to do, but that should be fun, particularly if he grasps the downhill conundrum.

As to his capacity to keep up, who knows. Last time I bumped into him he was complaining about a dodgy chest but that will be long gone I'm sure and he is showing signs of being on well on message now (mountain marathons, full tour of Pendle, next year's 3 Peaks).

As DD is the man who started a thread about titanium gloves, your technical side may be well looked after. (Velvet fist, iron glove?)

DD, hate to be chattering about you like this but you have been quiet since saying that Lola was worried.

DT and I might be thinking you've checked out the restaurant and wine list prices at Sharrow Bay and be having second thoughts. (Cries of "shame" from the wings).
The only one who can tell you "You can't" is you. And you don't have to listen.

    Dominion,
Please don't for one moment think me rude but, I am now spoken for this weekend and was planning on wearing the little number you see before you. Perhaps it would'nt look quite right 'down the chippy'.
