i was on that recce and it was quite funny. they must have though they were under attack initially when we all came charging over the ridge. well.. everybody else charged... I just slithered down and it is better on the right of the path. more grip

i was panicking alittle mate half way down and gathering speed and wondering how does one stop, Emmi told me to zig zag which helped a little, still bloody hairy though (the descent, not emmi)!!

Last place was something like 4:45 last year see results with 16 drop outs so very very unlikely. Its quite a fast first half too but as a rough rule of thumb figure that you're 40% of the way round time wise when you hit the bottom of Ogden Clough.

i am going to try andgo quite fast up to checkpoint 4 due to cut off time, after that, quite steady.
