Top slide by Ady, beautifully captured in pictures. I was gonna retire after this race but Ady bought me another pint of Guinness so i'll have to do another one to buy him one back
Many thanks to the race organiser, helpers and marshals. Excellent race and good weather and i did keep smiling all the way round, honest.
Good to see so many familiar faces having fun

You missed a good un, Hanneke, plenty of long steep climbs to keep prospective BG legs happy

Dont get glasses....even a slight breeze makes your eyes stream!....and running down a fell is lethal....you cant see where you are going because of the tears!

Had a very rough run, well down on last year due to a pulled muscle.

Met Daz and Emmi on one of the climbs and was "outsprinted" by them at the finish. Weather was clearly too hot for Daz though.

How 'just' is just in front?

I had a run all the way in from the top reservoir with a lady, just pipped her at the finish.

thaks for the photos pilgrim. a really good record. i love looking at what happens to rest of the field and see that the norman wisdom falls, uncontrollable slides and general mishaps are cleary not exclusive to me. another good place for photos would be the checkpoint 9 before the last climb - thats where there was an incredible 10ft mud slide taking you down to the chap with the tag bag. he must be laughing tonight!
