Hope everyone enjoyed themselves yesterday - I enjoyed marshalling at the trig watching you all suffer. The jelly babies, mars bars, flapjack and drinks seemed to go down well - I'm glad because lugging those up there was harder than doing the race.
Did a bit of forumite spotting myself - took a few pictures which I'll send to Martin to put on the CLEM site.

She beat me on the sprint in as my legs had given up with the pain in my hip.
Like I said a good run by Emm as she couldnt stop coughing at the start because of the chest infection thing.
To be fair in fell races I dont look at my times in fact when i dropped my checkpoint tags Emm shouted oh you will need them to get round. I wasnt that bothered as i dont normally look at results and never take my times. Stopwatches are not for me. You will see in all my photos that i wear my trusty old seiko.
I only have to convince one person that ive finished and thats me.
Anyway its put things in a new perspective to see how things are further back in the field.
I didnt realise how lucky i was to be able to train without so many things to think about.
Take Emm , 3 children, full time job , training, a dog to look after and she even baked us all a sponge.
Eck it puts me to shame

Cheers for the jelly babies. Don't know why you didn't believe me when I was giving it the old 'eazee' at the trig!

Well said Daz, it certainly has its merits at the rear end of the flock, a real social occasion but arguably less stressful too (mentally for me), which is why I take a pikernic eh.
I think next year I will join the front runners just to see how that feels... err best start training now eh??
    Well done 2 M.
