I've been away for a while. Any Southern jessies on here? Any decent Southern races going on?

Have a go at Crowborough Runners 10K in early December. It's a road race but a hard two-lapper with a ford crossing and a 1 in 5 hill. Part of Sussex GP and always a good size field. www.crowborough runners.org.uk
Poacher turned game-keeper
Box Hill Fell Race Sat 17th Jan.
Very popular and great value - might be full if you're not quick though.

Others I've done are Isle of Wight weekend (3 races in mid September) and Orion fell race in Epping Forest (usually late June or early July) also Springfield Striders organise some very short ones in mid Essex.
Hoping for a far more successful 2009
Have a look at www.trionium.com as they organise a few tough runs - yes, their races are expensive, but they do donate to charity. Or, at half the price, there's the Meon Valley Plod (www.pjc.org.uk) on 1st March which looks like a slightly shorter, inland version of Beachy Head. I've just printed my entry form off this eve
Looks like a nice event. I like warning about February weather for a race in March
