i like not silliness, sarcasm and wondering off subject, but i know that leaves me open to having micky taken ou tof me and being wound up etc

Having said that, i saw a birdie the other day when i was running

I did actually see a man-eating crocodile and 2 rhinos last Thursday.
However I didn't say it was in the UK.
I saw the man-eating crocodile from a canoe, and the rhinos from the back of an elephant, whilst on safari in Chitwan National Park in Nepal.

Dead pleased this thread has been resurrected. Slightly mundane compared with some great spots recently but I've had a cheeky Dunnock in my front garden on and off all year and it's still around. Lovely little bird

Red letter day for me and Aly on Sunday :

Cycling off T.O.P. legs over Wyre to Glasson Dock - saw 3 separate short-eared owls 'working' a field near Pilling, then a merlin flew along road right in front of us.

After cycling went birding, saw a peregrine bombing a murmuration of starlings at Marton Mere, then on a tip-off went to Lytham Moss where we watched 5 barn owls 'working' a field for ages.

Two were there this morning too on my way to work.

    Marvellous

Sounds fantastic! Not often we see the word 'murmuration' on the forum either

Spotted a Red Kite yesterday, presumably drifted over from Harewood. Also a flock of around a dozen Curlew nr Otley. I thought they over-wintered at the sea-side but guess some stay at the gravel pits in lower Wharfedale

A Deer shot across the path in front of me in the woods near Copley, glad it wasn't being chased by a Beast of Bodmin type cat
