    a johnns know how you feel mate after bustin 2 ribs last year, you went down pretty badly there, hope you recover quickly, tough call mate.
    i know its hard but take some time off, painkillers and rest up.
    didnt realise it was you until i saw you at the drinks table.

    no daz my dad bottled out - he said he might come and do the next one though! And he is far fitter than me so it might spur me on a bit!

    Thanks for the sentiments Daz and OneHill. - Yes it was a pretty heavy fall and bloody painful to boot. Waited five mins or so to recover and then set off - just couldn't run properly, it was just too painful when I breathed deeply and could only manage one lap. Actually called into the hospital on the way home and they confirmed what I thought I had done

    Actually a lot worse just now - I sooo feel like an old man right now

    Guess I will have to have an enforced rest

    Cheers - and by the way Daz, that was a pretty good run for someone who is supposedly jet lagged!

    Completed my first race...my wife had just finished cleaning the hall when I got back - she wasn't best pleased with the amount of mud I brought home with me!!
    Good fun though...

    great , theres nowt better than comin home cacked up and gettin out the car and thinkin all the other neighbours are sat on there arses and ive just done that
