I have just heard that the event is not far off full, so get your entries in quick.
Me and Mrs FSS are doing the Marshalls' version at the begining of May and helping on a checkpoint on the main event.

Let me know and we'll look out for you

The Missus is marshalling on the Marshals - I am meant to be, but the Dragons Back takes priority . So guess I shall be somewhere helping on the actual 100, otherwise I shall be drummed out of the Brownies for good.

No doubt see you there, will be in touch.

Is that the Rhayader? On 18th August?

That's the one, same as last year but with my extra little loop added .

Think it comes in at around 7000ft ascent total (very aprox.). Which isn't bad for an area with no mountains

Anyone on the South Shropshire Circular this Saturday?

I was aiming to give it a blast, but pulled a calf muscle last Friday will almost certainly be there, but taking it steady - more walk and shuffle rather than run.

Still, a day out in the long Myndd area can only be good for me whatever the pace.

I was there... thought it was a cracking route & the good weather helped... Particularly enjoyed the Christmas cake at Wentnor too Shame that 40 people didn't turn up. Had to be towed off the parking field though :$

    Re: All LDWA events thread.

Good route, I thoroughly enjoyed that with some good little climbs and plenty of interest navigation wise, to keep the brain ticking over.
I was also towed out, but fair play, Neil had the tractor and driver all ready and waiting for us. That is what I call good practical organisation that thinks ahead, I can think of a few events where we could still be pushing each others cars out of the mud

Chris Dawes did a good checkpoint (as always), just wish I had been prepared to stop long enough for the fresh cooked 'bacon butty' , just imagine a fell race with the offer of that half way round, be queues around the mountain
