HMMM just remember what you really thought when you mum/dad/teacher/sergeant major said what you were doing was "Character Building"

I really like linear routes as it feels like you are going somewhere rather than running round in circles.

I was just thinking about what I was up to a year ago more or less to the day: a 'Character Building' 12hour+ muddy trudge round Rotherham, mostly in pouring rain. Surely Tanky's can't be that bad ?! Answer here Sunday eve / Mon morning

No derelict cars or chavs chasing you for a start and I think I prefer the bogs of Bleaklow to those muddy fields. just remember to save a bit for that last climb it really is a killer

This may be a stupid question but does "Wind: SSW" mean the wind is blowing from the south or towards the south, I know which I would prefer.

Means it's blowing from the south south west, which is more southerly than south westerly if you see what I mean.

It'll be on the nose all the way, maybe...
