Track session cancelled so put in a productive hour down the gym. Warm up and 3k fast on the treadmill; legs pretty tired though. Weights for the rest.

LONG STREEEETTTTCCCHHHH. Will swim gently tomorrow then rest Saturday ready for Sunday's nine miler on the Downs.

3.75 miles around the fields near me.
First time ive run with a headtorch, and my new helly baselayer and pants.

Weather wasnt very nice, really cold and hard rain.

The fields where seriously water-logged so most of the mud was washed off me.

Managed to knock 4 minutes off my PB for the route so was quite chuffed.

And only scared myself a few times.

Only downside to the run, the last half mile is on the road. Its a dark country road that leads into my village. A number of cars passed me...all with full beam on....really does my head in that.

Cycle to work, cycle home. Then a walk to the shop for beer. I consider that a day off.
