Thanks Ian and team , brilliant that you have taken this one on. Must say also thanks to Marvin and Mini Marvin for the lift to Marsden and support at Crowden.
Good conditions for me as I always go well in the cold and was surprised many didnt take the shorts option.
All I had in my mind was Hern Stones and keeping to the left of them and I knew I would be able to hammer it to there and just plod the rest.
Id decided that because of the snow that I would take the Pennine Way and then head across to the left of Hern Stones. The conditions seemed okay to me and all to soon the Mountain Rescue boys appeared ad I knew I was bang on line.
Thanks to Julian Minshull for the line off Black Hill and I followed him in at edale at the finish( Much appreciated).
Lots of fallers en route and there was even a lad with road shoes on.

Didnt run this topless sadly as i knew i had my work cut out to fend off the wolves and didnt have time to strip.
I must admit to slightly lying , fibbing about my non recceing. Err well oops I will fetch me coat.
Luvshack showed me the route on the edale/marsden/edale
So its thanks to Luvshack that i did well

i wont mention the three recces i managed a few weeks back.

Well dont to IDP , a good run mate

Some runners inc Julian, Geoff B and IDP was suffering with cramp. Anyone else ???
It has to be that road section.
Oh well done to Nicky Spinks and thanks for the beer.

    Oh a quick tip
If you struggled on the last climb try shoving some snow down your pants ( if there is some next year) It works wonders for your stride length.

Looks like MR HOOKER ad a good run. He was last seen rummidging in the cup o soup boxes in the hall looking for the Winter Grouse Flavour

I was suffering a long time before the road and actually was running fine on that section.

If I'd had known Nicky was only a handfull of minutes behind I woulds have been looking over my shoulder heading up Kinder. Top result for a top girl.

We had pint in the Jolly Rambler afterwards and then I left Brent and Andy in the local with a long session planned

    Re: Tanky's Trog is ON!

I have uploaded some photos at the link below.

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/secondtolast/

Hopefully it will work, first time I have used Flickr. Most were taken at the top of Torside, just at the point people would split off to cross the moors rather than carry on up the PW. A few of the other photos are of people in the distance from near the top of Glossop Low.

Apolgies to people I missed. I was too slow getting up there for the leaders and too cold to wait for the final few runners.
