re Pennine Bridleway Relay
I emailed the organiser, and he said that it tends to fill up rapidly after the Calderdale Way relay (which was this weekend just gone)
so if we're going to enter a team, I think we need to do it soon...

I emailed 'my proper' club and im the guy said he'd put me down. So unless something happens, i affraid i have to back out of the ponies team. Im not sure what em has found out.
Remi nd me when this is. I'd certainly be up for it but if it's in late January it may clash with me annual ice climbing/drinking trip to Scotland

emmi - so your club expects you to wait around indefinitely, twiddling your thumbs, just in case somebody else lets them down, or then maybe you don't get to run at all? nice.
we could enter a team now, and firm up the names as we go along, but we still have to decide whether it's going to be an single-gender or a mixed team
if we put in a mixed, some blokes are going to have to drop out
if we put in a blokes-only, then lady-Ponies will be disappointed
if we put in 2 teams (1-mixed, 1-blokes), we're going to need a few more volunteers sooner rather than later, to be confident of raising 20 people...

If you put in a blokes team, and a bird... I mean lady-pony runs who's going to complain? Could understand if it's a mixed team and it's all blokes, but not the other way round?
Do you need to order up some more vests to get 10 runners kitted out? I'll have one if theres one going. Mind you, a bloke wearing a pink pony vest will probably get called a girl anyway!
