    OK. Your Mr Ballantine was one of the runners that came past me on the descent. Think I ended up 6 places or so behind him, didn't have a watch on.

    Well he was 36th, so you were early forties a good forty or so places ahead of me, Dick was also running in what is his back garden which would give an advantage.

    Think I would have enjoyed another lap, great fell race conditions. Any idea how big the field was?

    bout 300, I was one of the last to register and I was 291.

    You were blowing out your arse when i passed you
    I lost as many places as you on that descent, not because i'm a crap descender but because the bog monster got me upto my privates everytime i put my foot down.

    Great conditions for it though

    So your new UGG boots were no good in the bogs then bud?

    Mind you, one of my team mates looked like he'd been body surfing at the end. Head to toe in shi.......
