Got my X Talon 212s today (size uk 9.5) and took them out for a spin.

Only 4.6 miles and and a total of 1426ft of ascent from Bowden Bridge to Kinder Low Trig Point and back. They dealt with everything admirably, a slight hot spot under my right little toe but I expect that to settle down after a few more miles.

    before.

    After.

Did my first decent length run in my 212s today about 20.5 miles and came home completely blister free and no more hot spots.
